Who am I?
at your service
Being native Dutch, but looking more like a French person. Since I am rather small for Dutch standards and having dark brown eyes I seem to be more of latin roots than of germanic roots. I have always been in contact with foreign languages as long as I can remember. I simply love travelling and foreign cultures. I have settled in France for more than 20 years now and am completely native in that language. I live in the countryside in a huge house that is built out of limestone. There still is and old limestone oven in our backyard. And of course, according to french customs, there is an old bread oven still to be renovated. I have spend hours of my free time renovating my home. Now that the renovation is nearly finished, I have lots of time to spend on reading articles, on doing translation work and on dreaming about how to become a famous translator. I really would like to work together on different projects and keep a touch of humour alive when possible. I do have several English friends in France who all seem to be good humoured and lighthearted which is very appealing to me. Among other friends, I count upon the Oxford Thesaurus and the Collins Cobuild Dictionary of English language.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
